Of Microbes and Men is a place where an Infectious Disease PhD student gets to share her passion for the subject that makes it worth explaining to her grandmother for the 373rd time that yes, she’s still in school, and no, she won’t be done any time soon. (UPDATE: Defense date finally set for July 2016! Real world, here I come!)
For better or worse, mankind is inextricably linked with the microscopic world that lives around (and in) us, shaping our lives in ways we often don’t recognize. This blog’s mission is to tell their fascinating and occasionally gross stories to show that microbes are more than just microscopic organisms discovered by Antonie van Leeuwenhoek in 1675.
